The Red Lip: Tutorial

In fashion, there are certain items (like a little black dress with a great silhouette) that can stand the test of time. Year in and year out, decade after decade, it looks as amazing now as it did 30 or more years ago. The same ideas hold true with makeup. While some looks are trendy and fun to play around with while they’re ‘in’, others remain wearable year after year. The red lip is the little black dress of makeup. It has stayed in style like no other look. Whether you decide to go matte or shiny, brighter or darker, there is a red lip for every woman out there—the key is to find your perfect shade and then apply it expertly. Here to help you do that, once again, is the fantastic Thierry Pourtoy, of Cristophe salon in Beverly Hills.
